EACH Switzerland - Networking Event

Topic: Communication Training 2040 – how to reinforce the humanity of healthcare?

Abstract: The Glasgow Consensus Statement (Makoul et al. 2024) provides an international framework for effective communication that both recognises critical challenges in contemporary health services and reinforces the humanity of health care, with the aim of supporting those involved in care, service design and/or health professional education. Within this framework, which invites us to reflect on our current curricula, we will discuss the content and formats of (future) basic communication training in the undergraduate education of health professionals in Switzerland, based on our current knowledge and experience as well as our visions.
